Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong preparing for OAV registration

THE Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) is gearing up its office for the overseas absentee voting (OAV) registration, which was set from October 31 this year to October 31 next year.

Philippine officials in the consulate will also be conducting a training for OAV registration on October 30 to prepare for the 2013 midterm automated polls.

In an announcement posted on their website, the Consulate said that the “echo training session” will be held on the eve of the start of the OAV registration.

u201cVolunteers who complete the training course may assist in the OAV registration exercise every Sunday from October 31, 2011 to October 31, 2012,” it added.

Philippine officials abroad are preparing to have overseas Filipino workers register so they can vote in the 2013 elections.

In Hong Kong, the Consulate advised Filipinos to confirm their attendance via email or phone.
