Hagberg of Team XRay defeated reigning world champion Fil-German Ronald Voelker of Team Yokomo, who had a tough game on Sunday, while his Thai comrade Meen Vejrak settled for third place.

For the Scale Tub Class, Tutoy Aldaba ruled the division followed by Benji Ecleo and Wilfredo Sevilla. German Jan Ratheisky topped the Super Stock 13.5 category. Ratheisky is also a 1-time Stock European Champion and twice Formula 1 European Champion. Runners-up in this division are Yuchiro Takaya and Jomil de la Cruz.

For the Scorpion Special Class category, Rains Viola ruled the division followed by Aldaba and Jerome Supan.

Around 80 RC racers from across the Asian region and some parts of the world gathered in Bacolod City for this leg. Round 3 will be in Australia in September followed by Round 4 in South Korea and Japan for Round 5.

Lead organizer Scotty Ernst said this event isn’t an ordinary race but, helpful to the youngsters. “When we were young, we were able to fix simple mechanical works like those on bicycles. But, kids now are more focused on computer games and slowly losses their abilities to fix things,” he said.

The event also featured what Bacolod City can offer the world through this sport.
