More teams in DFL 2nd Conference

HUNDREDS of young potential players from across the province are expected to take various pitches on July 28 as the 2018 Dynamic Football League 2nd Conference will be divided into 3 divisions – North Negros, Central Negros and South Negros.

Negros Occidental Football Association General Secretary Roland Allan Treyes confirmed this new format as they wanted to bring the sport closer to the people.

“Through this, participants will spend less in traveling to Sta. Maria every weekend to play. Moreover, we showcase the sport among the grassroots,” he added.

Treyes said that North Negros will cover Victorias City onward to San Carlos City while Central Negros will have E.B. Magalona to Bacolod. South Negros will start from Bago City to Kabankalan City.

Since its inception in 2013, DFL continuously provided opportunities for children to develop their skills and character on and off the pitch.

In ensuring that coaches have the capacity to handle their respective teams, they were required the minimum license in order to join the tournament. Refresher courses and training for referees were also held regularly to provide the participating teams quality officiating as much as possible.

Among the categories to be contested include: Born 2010 Mix, Born 2008 Mix, Born 2006 Boys and Born 2001 Girls.

The competition is supervised by DFL chairman Andrew Infante and sanctioned by the Negros Occidental Football Association headed by Ricky Yanson.
