Negros Occidental Softbelles win World Series games in US

THE Negros Occidental Girls Softball Seniors team won first in the two games held in the World Series in Delaware, USA

It was a big luck for the Negrense Girls’ softball seniors’ team as they competed in Delaware USA, making a 3-2 win over Latin America in its first game.

The Negros Occidental Seniors had a back-to-back game with its second win over the East Coast girls ending in a 10-0 victory on August 1, 2022.

Negrense pitcher Joy Alpitche of Hinoba-an gave the opponents a hard time with her power-packed pitch that shook the heads of the opponents and amazed the viewers who were both foreigners and Filipinos cheering the team.

Although it was unexpected, the footballers from Negros Occidental were victorious in the second game played at eight in the evening as the team just took a rest for thirty minutes break.

The Negros Occidental girls team represented the Philippines and the Asia Pacific as the regional winner.

The team is headed by Anthony Carlo Agustin, the head of sports of the provincial government.
