COLEGIO de Sta. Ana de Victorias/Silver Dragon Construction continued to fortify their standing with another huge win over La Consolacion College-Bacolod/Davies Paint-J Squared Construction, 102-83, in the ongoing 2018 Negros Basketball Association President's Cup at Po Hang gym in Bacolod Tay Tung High School.
The triumph gave Silver Dragon its fifth win alongside a defeat while dropping Davies to its second loss in the league.
Davies led the half, 46-41, but Silver Dragon outscored 29-16 in the third canto and 32-21 as Carl Magbanua sizzled with 23 points while Jeffrey Manday added 26 and Jeric Adorio shot 23 markers.
Melfern denied the University of St. La Salle/Freeze Sportswear to earn their first win, 90-88.
Freeze Sportswear rallied behind Anthony Antipatia's 27 points, with 24 coming from behind the arc, as they booked 41-38 at the half and kept the upper hand at the end of third, 64-63. But, Melfern came out with a dominating fourth quarter performance, 27-24 to pull a win.
Boy Posecion fired with 24 points as the Sarona-Maningo duo combined for 34 points for Melfern. (HGD)
