STA. Fe Crocs Swimming Team came out with a dominating the recent 2nd Jose Nadie Arceo Mayors Cup 2018 at the Papis Pool in Hinigaran.
The Edmund Chua-mentored Crocs combined 823.50 scores to rule the tournament participated in by 180 swimmers with Syntyche Alimon Donesa’s Talisay City Dolphins having the most number of entries with 28.
Finishing first runner-up is Bago City Swim Team of Jenny Moncajada followed by Cadiz Whales Swim Team of Max Masculino, and third runner-up, Sta. Fee Bulldogs Swim Team.
The most-bemedalled swimmers are six and under – James Dwayne Sumande of Panaad Swim Team and Marvelous Paragsa of Hinigaran Swim Team; 7-8, Ethan Base of MWC Swim Team and Dominique Sombito of Sta. Fee Bulldogs ST; 9-10, Ralf Emplanado of Sta. Fe Crocs ST and Riana Montelibano of Penquins ST.
In the 11-12 group is Earl Jude Buncio of Sta. Fe Crocs and Ella Reign Buenos of Sta. Fe Crocs; 13-14, Jimmy Blancaplor of Sta. Fe Crocs and Yzabelle Ruiz of Sta Fe Crocs; and 15-17, Jerome Lanada of Sta. Fe Crocs and Erl-J Divinagracia Sta. Fe Crocs.
The staging of the event is one step forward to answer the concern of lack of competitive swimmers from Negros Occidental in regional meets and Palarong Pambansa. (HGD)
