Tay Tung shines in 31st Milo Little Olympics

BACOLOD Tay Tung High School came out with huge performances in the recently concluded 31st Milo Little Olympics in Cebu City.

Tay Tung’s elementary girls were named over-all champions with 11 gold medals, a silver, and five bronze medals.

Eventual "most valuable player" Shalthea Delotavo won 4 gold medals in the 100m, 200m, 4X100m relay and 4X400m relay, and silver in the 400m while Jade Polite Cordva added 3 gold medals in the 100m hurdles, 4X100m relay and 4X400m relay, and bronze in the 400m hurdles.

April Anne Dealagdon and Ana Francessca Hermosura hauled 2 gold medals each in the 4X100m relay and 4X400m relay.

Dealagdon also won bronze medals in the 800m and 1500m, while Hermosura has bronze each in the 100m and 200m events.

For the secondary girls, Tay Tung tracksters tallied 9 gold medals, 3 silvers and a bronze.

Antonette Jay Aguillon hauled 3 gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and 4X100m relay, and bronze in the triple jump while Krisha Aguillon won gold medals in the 400m, and 4X100m relay while silver in the 100m, and 200m.

On the other hand, Ara RahbaeDelotavowon gold medals in the 100m hurdles, 4X100m relay and silver in the 400m hurdles, while Stephany Rey Malate contributed a gold medal in the 4X100m relay.

In girls’ volleyball, MVP Alyssa Bertolano alongside Katherine Cortez and Aurea Alvero led Tay Tung to a back-to-back title after beating University of San Jose-Recoletos in the finals: 25-23, 25-16, 21-25 and 25-23.

Also suited up for the Tay Tung side are Kiesha Bedonia, Charlene Tayapad, Gwen Banas, Anikha Cabasac, Sophie Cagalawan, Nicole Galvan, Jermaine Joniega, Kathleen Kate Tan and Elijah Ysulan. (HGD)
