BACOLOD City’s Unfazed Esports won against La Castellana Esports during the final match of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) Open Tournament last Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the SCC Multi-Purpose Hall, Park Marina.

The champion team went thru a series of skill trading and cornering to a spot, but Jungler Shaun Darrie Bellosillo, with ML in-game name Kaiden, dashed to the Lord in the 3rd set, which led to their victory in the best of 5 games with a score of 3-0. Unfazed Esports took home the P20,000 cash prize.

La Castellana Esports settled as 1st runner-up with P15,000 followed by Reignite Team of San Carlos City, 2nd runner-up, bagging the P10,000 while Municipality of Toboso’s Fearless Team as 3rd runner-up going home with the P5,000.

The Army of Seven, Reignite Aspire, Team Honey, and Zodiac which landed in the fourth to seventh places, got P2,000 each as consolation prize.

Unfazed Esports Manager Iremar Mantua said despite winning in a tournament for the second time, the team needs to improve its game plans to correct the errors made since players juggle with their studies and sports.

He added they should always be ready to face more competitive opponents who will test their capabilities as players.

Earlier, Unfazed Esports was also Champion in ML tournament in Bacolod City.

Bellosillo of Unfazed Esports thanked the local government of San Carlos for welcoming them and hoped to come back for the next MLBB Tournament.

The said event was part of the 63rd Charter Anniversary celebration of San Carlos City facilitated by the Tournament Game Master Emmanuel Anievas, and Tourism Operations Officer Jennifer Saballa-Paran, and staff.(PR)
