THE Team Asenso led by incumbent Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez will hold their miting de avance on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) grounds.
Benitez, who is now running for congressman, said they used to use the Paglaum Sports Complex for their political rallies, but now changed it to BCGC.
“We want it to be symbolic, as a sign of symbol of Bacolod City,” Benitez said.
He said that they have special guests along with his slate, including incumbent Congressman Greg Gasataya, who is now running for mayor, incumbent Councilor Claudio Puentevella, who is running for vice-mayor, and their 12 candidates for councilor.
The mayor said they are expecting about 30,000 crowds at the BCGC.
Benitez also urged all parties to refrain from spreading misinformation for the May 12 elections.
The candidates earlier pledged to focus on their respective platforms of government; avoid vote-buying, election fraud, and the use of threats; and refrain from spending beyond what is legally permitted during the campaign.
They also pledged to be held accountable for the actions of the election campaign leaders, accept the results of the election and respect the decision of the people. (MAP)
