
A VLOGGER from Bacolod City who was charged with cyber libel was released from detention after posting bail Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2025.
Major Eugene Tolentino, Police Station 2 commander, said the suspect, identified as alias “Langga,” voluntarily surrendered at the station around 11 a.m.
“When she found out that she had an arrest warrant for violation of Section 4 (c) of Republic Act 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, she surrendered here,” Tolentino said.
He added that the arrest warrant was issued by Judge Richard Bala Balucio of Branch 15, Regional Trial Court, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, with a recommended bail of P72,000 for her temporary liberty.
Tolentino noted that the suspect posted bail around 4 p.m., issued by a judge of the Regional Trial Court in Bacolod City.
In 2024, the suspect was also arrested for cyber libel in a case also filed by the complainant in Laoag City.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old male was also arrested by operatives of the La Castellana Municipal Police Station by virtue of an arrest warrant for the crime of murder at Purok 5, Barangay Cabacungan, La Castellana, around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
Police identified the suspect as alias “JR,” a resident of Barangay Cabacungan, La Castellana.
The arrest warrant was issued by the presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, with no bail recommended.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of the La Castellana Municipal Police Station. (MAP)
