Cordillera’s 6 most wanted persons nabbed

SIX most wanted persons were arrested in a weeklong operation by the different offices of the Police Regional Office (PRO)–Cordillera last week.

“This week’s success is a clear proof that this regional office’s commitment is bringing our closer ties to the community who continuously support our campaign against criminality,” regional director Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana said.

Cordillera’s third most wanted Ceasar Binay-og Balawag, 19 years old, married, of Pinukpuk, Kalinga wanted for carnapping was arrested June 22.

In another operation, Florante Gammad Donato, 56, of Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya was arrested for estafa by virtue of a warrant with a recommended bail bond of P180,000. Donato is listed as the third top most wanted in Ifugao for the 2nd quarter of 2018.

On June 24, joint personnel of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and CIDG-Baguio arrested Merlina Ador Velasco, 53, married, and a resident of No. 1 Hamada Subdivision at Barangay Buting Conception St. Pasig City, for estafa with a recommended bail of P150,000.

The suspect is listed as the fifth most wanted of BCPO’s Station 7.

In Abra, Felipe Altuna Vasquez ‘a.k.a.’ Ipe, of Dumayco, Peñarrubia was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest for rape in relation to R.A. 7610 with no bail recommended.

Vasquez is listed as the number one most wanted for the 2nd quarter of 2018.

BCPO Station 1’s 10th most wanted Nelson Viray Agballog, 35, was nabbed in his residence at Pugo, Bauang, La Union in the night of June 22,

Agballogn was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for theft with a recommended bail of P30,000.

Bucay, Abra’s fifth most wanted Eleno Burbano Trinidad, 30, of Barangay Labon, Bucay was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued for frustrated murder with P200,000 recommended bail bond.

In separate operations undertaken by PRO-Cordillera operatives, 67 others were arrested from the different units throughout the region as police vowed to account all wanted persons and arrest all other persons involved in criminal activities.
