Hike to ‘playground of the gods’ set

A HIKE to Mt. Pulag via Tawangan Trail set on February 25 to 27 dubbed “Barangay Tawangan date with the Peak”.

Mt. Pulag dubbed as the playground of the gods at 2,922 meters above sea level with first to inhabit the land were the native Ibaloys.

The mountain sacred to the Ibaloys as it’s known as the abode of their gods.

The three-day activity pave way to participants traversing the mountainous landscape of pine forest, mossy forests through the Tawangan trail on the north-western side of Mt. Pulag, trekkers get the chance to trek lower slopes and visit mountain lakes.

The event a partnership between the local government unit of Kabayan and barangay tawangan setting registration fee of P2,500 inclusive of park fee (DENR and LGU), tour guide fee, four meals, transportation via Trinidad to Kabayan and vice versa and certificate.

From Benguet capitol, participants will be going to barangay Poblacion in Kabayan via Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road with a sightseeing of Ambuklao Dam.

On Day 1, participants will visit Lake Tabeyo and Bulalacao followed by a community immersion and cultural night on the afternoon.
