FIVE Koreans are facing charges for allegedly mauling a fellow countryman in Baguio City.
Jihun Gwak, 26, was allegedly mauled by Won Hee Lee, Hyo Keun Park, Lee Hyun Jun, Oh Hyun and Sung Byung Jun at around 12 midnight of October 3.
Gwak, a native of Seoul, South Korea who is in Baguio to study, reported the incident to the Baguio City Police Office Station 3 on October 19.
He said he was mauled at Kenzo Bar, located on Leonard Wood Road in Barangay Salud Mitra.
Gwak said one of the suspects, Won Hee Lee, invited him to a drinking session. He was introduced by the suspect to his companions who were allegedly drunk at that time.
One of the suspects had a misunderstanding with the complainant. This led to the mauling incident.
According to the victim, he was punched, kicked and hit with a chair on the head.
The complainant sustained injuries as shown in his medico-legal certificate.
