REBLOCKING of two sections along Marcos Highway officially started November 4 which is expected to congest the main road going up to Baguio City.

In a press briefing, Baguio City Engineering Office (BCDEO) chief for construction Engineer Alfred Bannagao Jr. said the reblocking is expected to be completed December 21 or at the most -- January 2020.

“The reblocking will start at the Nissan showroom up to the NMIS inspection office with a total length of 549 meters while the second site will be at Bakakeng, fronting the basketball court near the entrance going to Kitma Road having around 126 meters wherein a portion of that road have been sinking,” Bannagao said.

Reblocking was originally eyed in July 17 until in November 18 but was suspended for three months because of the rainy season.

“The reblocking was supposed have started in October 24 of this year but because of the comments on social media and the request for the reblocking to be done after All Saints day which is why we started November 4,” Bannagao stated.

The project cost P7 million with a total length of 675 meters. It will undergo modern technology with a maximum three-day curing period.
