P170,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Kalinga

AN ESTIMATED P170,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu”, weighing 25 grams were seized in Kalinga.

The suspect, Floyd Segoma Balinag, 30, is an electronic technician and a resident of San Julian, Tabuk City, Kalinga was caught in a drug bust, in act of selling two pieces of plastic heat-sealed sachets of alleged shabu with P1,000 buy bust money.

Inside his vehicle, operatives found ten more sachets of shabu, ammunition for various firearms, weighing scale, lighters and other non-drug evidence.

The illegal drugs were confiscated by operatives from the Kalinga Provincial Police Office (KPPO) led by Tabuk City Police Station officer-in-charge Police Lieutenant Colonel Radino Belly and Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Talay Jr. under the direct supervision of Kalinga PPO director Police Colonel Job Russel Balaquit together with representatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cordillera.
