Chacapna: The bosses in the DepEd mafia (part two)

HOW can something so wrong, goes right all along—line in the song “Catch Me I’m Falling,” which can shake those who are planning to sneak some fun this Valentine’s Day. Whether at the wrong or right direction, the love referred to in that song doesn’t judge sans boundaries. Of which the living mortals repeatedly airs: Love is blind, if lovers cannot see. But to some, changing the word “something” into “someone” may be more meaningful. It may be funnier or controversial, depending on the motive of the singer. Hence, this new lyric can be hummed: How can “someone” so wrong goes right all along? And how many of this “someone” are found in the education department, a naughty giggling mind might ask?

Anyway, the original lyric denotes the modified popular axiom: Oh love, oh love, what a powerful life form can be against all odds, when love enters the heart of anyone, it orders irrefutable command to all the body’s organ, though it harms the mind of every Tom, Dick, and Harry combined. I mean not the “dick” of Tom or Harry; it might bounce that mystic yet interesting meaning and the singer of the tune will be censored with or without fault.

Lest mortals believe that men have two heads. Surely, the lower of the two doesn’t have any mind of its own because, it only moves back and forth. While in that movement, the higher head thinks and goes around exploring intentionally every angles and curves of that wonderful scenery. So that at the end of that entity called countless time; actors will be judge according to which heads they are likened with. Kiddingly aside, the edited lyrics then refer to the owner of the heart of which it only beats: To love, to be loved, both, or none at all.

But in all the years of frolicking around the corners of the education department, whether in the darkest or brightest side, I have seen the night and days of colleagues, both enemies and friends in the teaching profession. Recalling the “not so verbal abuse” of a former professor are these words: why are some mortals have that difficulty finding someone to be with, this Valentine’s Day, do they really desire to endure the coldness of the night, slaver that food cooked by the gods, reminisce the past or reflect that certainty when age increases while choice diminishes. Again love has no boundaries. So, married or ugly if it is the only choice, one must decide which shot to take.

And so relating it to the book “Expert Secrets,” this Valentine’s Day, any person may not have that special someone to be with, because of the choices: to act as a boss or be the leader. Blinded by pride, a boss points the hand, says no I go, mastered the art of manipulation, speaks with either forked tongue or uses words that cuts and finally yelling at people just like the Television show. In contrast a leader is enlightened by humility, waves the hand, says yes we go and developed skill at the art of consideration, uses words of inspiration and finally talking humorously to people just like the comedy show.
