PRIOR to the staging of the Batang Pinoy national finals, Baguio City will first host close to 10,000 athletes in September.

Although no final dates have been released yet, Baguio City sports coordinator Gaudencio Gonzales said the city was chosen as venue for the 21st staging of the Milo Little Olympics - North Central Luzon leg tentatively set in September.

Gonzales said the city is still waiting for the final dates of the weeklong competition backed by Nestle.

The annual youth sports competition aims to emphasize Milo’s unwavering commitment to the country in developing not only athleticism but also mental discipline among student-athletes who will be the next generation of sports heroes.

A total of 15 sports will be showcased in the Olympics among them badminton, basketball, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, sepak takraw and scrabble. Arnis and karatedo will be featured as demonstration sports.
