

THE contingent from Barangay Gusa bagged the P300,000 cash prize after it won as champion in the Higalaay Street Dance Competition of this year's Higalaay Festival held at the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Center in Cagayan de Oro City.
Following the champion was the contingent from Barangay Carmen, which won the first runner up and received a cash prize worth P200,000, and the team of Barangay Puerto as second runner up, receiving P100,000.
The aforementioned three winners, apart from the cash prizes, also received trophies and special awards.
Barangay Gusa bagged the Best in Street Dancing, Best Choreographer, and Best in Musicality awards.
Barangay Carmen, on the other hand, got the TnT Choice, Best in Costume and Best in Storyline awards; while Barangay Puerto won the Most Discipline award.
Barangay Kauswagan was also a recipient of a special award, the Best in Totem Pole.
Contingents from Barangays Lapasan, Cugman, Consolacion, Canitoan, Macabalan, Kauswagan and Barangay 12 received P10,000 as consolation prize.
Meanwhile, Palawan Pawnshop won as champion for the Higalaay Festival 2023 Float Competition, receiving P300,000 cash prize. This was followed by Barangay Carmen as the first runner up (winning P200,000), and JE Hydro & Bio-Energy Corp as the second runner up (winning P100,000).
