In SM CDO Downtown Premier exhibit, meanwhile, they showcased 273 hand-painted lanterns which were hung and lighted in their exhibit located at the mall’ s ground floor last January 25.

On the same day and venue, the Chan Lim Family of Artists also offered free workshop for those who were interested in learning how to do Chinese brush painting.

Media personalities and bloggers/vloggers also got to experience how to paint bamboo and flowers using the Chinese paint brush.

The exhibits, which were sponsored by the Dynamic Youth Davao Chapter and Davao Filipino Chinese Cultural Association, in the two SM malls in Cagayan de Oro will run until February 8.

The Chan Lim Family of Artists is best known for their Asian-themed art with particular focus on Chinese brush painting. The family has been actively engaged in the arts for more than half a century to date.

The three generations of the Chan Lim Family use a multitude of media, styles and techniques to incorporate Western into Eastern art.

They continue to get involved in the arts by actively developing and promoting Chinese brush painting in the Philippines and abroad.
