TEAM Nazareth of barangay chair Maxie “Junjun” Rodriguez III is the only one among 13 barangays in city proper that participated in the recent Fire Olympics 2019 in Cagayan de Oro.
Former commercial cager Marlon “Pinggoy” Castro served as coach and barangay kagawad Oming Pimentel as team manager of the Nazareth team. They intend to improve the team’s skills and preparation in dealing with fire incidents anywhere in the City of Gold.
“Init ang panahon busa daghan sunog. Dili lang ang panghitabo sa brgy. Nazareth ang among respondehan in case of emergency apan apil na sa ubang dapit. Mao kini ang purpose ni Kapitan (Junjun Rodriguez) busa nag-participate gyod ang Nazareth sa Fire Olympics 2019,” Castro told SunStar Cagayan de Oro. (Lynde Salgados)
