10 Kagay-anons contract coronavirus

THE City Health Office in Cagayan de Oro on Saturday, March 27, 2021, noted another drop in the number of new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases as the city recorded 10 new cases.

This brought the cumulative number of confirmed infections in Cagayan de Oro to 4,070.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, half of the new cases were local cases with link, while the other half were local index cases.

Of the 4,070 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 426 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,644 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 154 active cases, 53 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 98 were outpatients, and three were ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered one new coronavirus-positive person who was tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,724, with a 91.49 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 302 were LSIs, 119 were ROFs, and 3,303 were local cases (community: 2,789; Apors: 514).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 192.
