1,698 NMMC employees vaccinated

A TOTAL of 1,698 employees of Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) have received their first doses of the Covid-19 vaccines, as of Monday, April 5, 2021.

According to NMMC liaison officer Dr. Bernard Rocha, of the 1,698 employees, 1,514 of them were injected with Sinovac vaccine, while 184 got the AstraZeneca vaccine.

With the vaccination rollout for the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine is just around the corner, Rocha said they are aiming for all the 1,698 employees to get their second dose during the four-day vaccination period.

"Hopefully, tanan gyud. Hopefully, wala gyud among empleyado naay ga sintomas because them they would be deferred, if naa gyud silay gibati at that time na ilahang time na para mabakunahan," Rocha said.

"Rest assured, they would be given priority after na ma clear sila," he added.

Meanwhile, a Covid-19 vaccination simulation was conducted in West City Central School in Barangay Carmen on Monday.

Carmen is the fifth barangay site to carry out the vaccination drill, the first four being Barangays Gusa, Bulua, Mambuaya and Macasandig.

Other barangays sites in the city that will be conducting the vaccination simulation include Barangays Lumbia on April 6, Bugo on April 7, Canitoan on April 7, Camaman-an on April 8, Cugman on April 12, Macabalan on April 12, Lapasan on April 13, Iponan on April 14, Tablon on April 15, and Kauswagan on April 16.
