2 PUIs from Oro recovered, discharged from NMMC

ANOTHER two patients under investigation (PUIs) have recovered and were discharged from the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) on Monday, April 6, hospital chief Dr. Jose Chan said.

The two PUIs, according to City Mayor Oscar Moreno, are residents of barangays Lumbia and Upper Carmen.

Chan said they were admitted at the NMMC a few days ago due to medical conditions that should be immediately treated.

At present, a total of ten patients remained admitted at the NMMC, in which three are Covid-19-positive who are still waiting for their repeat test results, and seven are PUIs.

Meanwhile, the number of PUIs with mild symptoms in Cagayan de Oro City has gone down to two, one of which is due to be discharged on Tuesday, April 7.

City Health Office epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya said, in the following days the number of PUIs in Cagayan de Oro is expected to drop to zero.

“Busa ang atong ginahimo karon gi-intensify nato ang atoang surveillance sa atong ARI (acute respiratory illness) ug ILI (influenza-like illness) pinaagi sa atong mga volunteers, ang CDVs (community development volunteers),” Retuya said.

The total persons under monitoring (PUMs) in the city who are undergoing quarantine, on the other hand, are still at 12.
