7 more Covid-19 patients in Cagayan de Oro recover

SIX locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and a returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF), who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), are now tagged as "recovered" after their repeat swab test results came out negative on Wednesday, August 19.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 145.

Those who have recovered are:

- A 36-year-old male LSI from Laguna and a resident of Barangay Tablon;

- A 53-year-old male LSI from Mandaue City, Cebu and a resident of Barangay Patag;

- A 53-year-old male LSI from Mandaue City, Cebu and a resident of Barangay 36;

- A 29-year-old male ROF from the Middle East and a resident of Barangay Macasandig;

- A 22-year-old male LSI from Malate, Manila and a resident of Barangay Carmen;

- A 26-year-old female LSI from Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Kauswagan; and

- A 56-year-old female LSI from Bacoor, Cavite and a resident of Barangay Bulua.

Meanwhile, the 17 direct family close contacts of the 209th case, a 66-year-old male local case from Purok 4, Sitio Sta. Cruz, Barangay Camaman-an, were swabbed on August 20.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said Cagayan de Oro has 78 active cases, of whom one is admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), nine are outpatients, and 68 are ROFs/LSIs.
