8 Misamis Oriental hospitals gets P20-M new ambulance units

THE Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental has turned over eight brand new ambulance units to the eight hospitals in the province amid the continuing threats posed by the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Monday, April 13.

Governor Yevgeny Emano led the turnover of the P20 million worth of fully-equipped ambulance, each costs P2.5 million, which were also received by the chiefs of hospitals.

The province-run hospitals are in Talisayan, Manticao, Magsaysay, Initao, Gingoog City, Claveria, Balingasag, and Alubijid.

The ambulance has already secured license from the Department of Health (DOH), according to the provincial information office.

Aside from the ambulance, the Capitol also turned over eight boxes containing 8,000 pieces of face masks donated by the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc.-Misamis Oriental chapter.

The face masks will be distributed to the eight hospitals in the province.

Emano also turned over P500,000 in check for the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, the referral hospital for Covid-19 patients.

Two more brand new vehicles were turned over to the Provincial Agriculture Office (Pagro).
