Cagayan de Oro logs 95 more Covid-19 cases

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro reported on Thursday, June 17, 95 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 9,121.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said that of the 95 new cases, 20 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, eight were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 61 were local index cases, and six mortalities.

Among the 9,121 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 442 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 8,679 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,660 active cases, 407 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,251 were outpatients, and two were ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 44 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 7,053, with 77.31 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 315 were LSIs, 124 were ROFs, and 6,614 were local cases (community: 5,579; Apors: 1,035).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 408.
