Cagayan de Oro records 3 Covid-19 recoveries

THE City Health Office in Cagayan de Oro has recorded three new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) recovered patients, all of whom are locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

This brings the total number of recovered Covid-positive patients in the city to 61.

According to City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya, their test result came out negative on July 27. They are set to be discharged soon.

Recovered are a 54-year-old male LSI from Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Macabalan whose third swab was taken on July 20; a 23-year-old male LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Lapasan whose second swab was taken on July 20; and a 39-year-old female LSI from Cavite and a resident of Barangay Pagtapat whose third swab was taken on July 20.

Meanwhile, three non-residents of Cagayan de Oro have tested positive for the virus and will be retagged on their respective residence.

Retuya said all of them are currently staying at the city isolation unit and are set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

One of them is a 28-year-old female LSI from Tondo, Manila. She traveled to Cagayan de Oro together with her common-law partner whose address is in Barangay 1.

They arrived in Cagayan de Oro on July 21 via plane. The woman was swabbed and her test result came out positive on July 27.

Retuya said the woman's case is retagged to Tondon, Manila.

The second non-CDO case is a 38-year-old female who is an Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR) and has a home address in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The woman is an asymptomatic uniformed personnel who was swabbed in Manila on July 14. Her result came out negative.

She arrived in Cagayan de Oro on July 17 and was swabbed on July 23. The result came out positive on July 27.

The woman's case is retagged to Bukidnon.

The other non-CDO case is a 14-year-old female from Muntinlupa City who was on the process of changing her residence to Balongis, Barangay Macanhan. She is asthmatic.

She arrived in Cagayan de Oro on July 17 via plane and was swabbed on July 22. The result came out positive on July 27.

The woman's case is retagged to Muntinlupa City.
