Carmen still holds most number of active cases in Oro

BARANGAY Carmen is still the village with the most number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro as of July 30, recording a total of 228 active cases.

The cumulative number of active cases in the city has risen to 1,687, of which 618 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 1,157 were outpatients.

According to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya, following Barangay Carmen are Barangays Balulang, recording 160 active cases; Kauswagan with 132 cases; Lumbia with 118 cases; Iponan with 112 cases; Gusa with 81; Bulua with 75 cases; Macasandig with 75 cases; Lapasan with 73 cases; Canitoan with 65 cases; and Bugo with 61 cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of July 30 was 138,703, of which 92,097 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 46,606 were fully vaccinated.

According to the data, of the 138,703 vaccinated individuals, 21,899 were frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 48,436 were senior citizens (A2 group), 51,875 were persons with comorbidities (A3 group), 14,626 were essential frontline workers (A4 group), and 1,867 were others from Filipino-Chinese community.
