THE Northern Mindanao police have reiterated the strict measures implemented in the different quarantine control points installed across the region to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
As almost all of the provinces and cities in Northern Mindanao are placed under community quarantine, police have listed personalities authorized to enter quarantine checkpoints.
These include persons who will deliver basic services like medical personnel, funeral services, emergency responders and security services; those who are working in banks, money transfer services, groceries, convenience stores, supermarkets and sari-sari stores, public market vendors, pharmacies/drugstore, food chains and restaurants.
Also allowed entry in checkpoints are personnel of delivery cargoes, employees of manufacturing establishments, telecommunications, energy, water utilities; and those who have quarantine passes per household who are allowed to go out of their homes to buy necessities or avail services.
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Northern Mindanao said the entire region had already imposed strict measures to limit the movements of people going outside their homes.
"PRO-10 encouraged the community to stay inside their homes if they do not have important transactions outside. They may come out to work, buy food and medicine and other urgent matters," the PRO-Northern Mindanao said.
"PRO-10 appeals to the public to cooperate and be patient in the community quarantine control point (checkpoint) and the regulations implemented by our local chief executives to fight against the spread of Covid-19 in Northern Mindanao," it added.
