Misamis Oriental under Alert Level 3 January 16-31

MISAMIS Oriental and three other areas in Northern Mindanao will be under Alert Level 3 from January 16 until January 31, 2022, Malacañang announced on Friday, January 14.

Under Alert Level 3, face-to-face classes, contact sports, sun fairs, karaoke bars, clubs, concert halls, theaters, casinos, horse racing, cockfighting, and social gatherings of individuals who do not belong to the same household are prohibited.

Intrazonal and interzonal travel are allowed subject to reasonable restrictions based on age and comorbidities, as may be determined by the local government units.

Other areas in Northern Mindanao under Alert Level 3 from January 16 to 31 include Bukidnon, Iligan City and Misamis Occidental.

At present, no area in the Philippines is under Alert Level 4.

Alert Level 4 is raised if at least 71 percent of an area's healthcare capacity has been used.

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging infectious Diseases looks into the two-week growth rate, average daily attack rate and healthcare utilization rate of specific provinces, towns or cities before deciding on escalating the alert levels.
