MOST of the active cases in Cagayan de Oro are residents of Barangay Carmen, said the City Health Office.

The cumulative number of active cases in the city went up to 160, of which 40 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 109 were outpatients, and 11 are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs)/locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

As of January 9, Barangay Lumbia has 19 active cases, followed by Barangays Balulang with 17 active cases, Patag with 16 cases, Kauswagan with 15 cases, Carmen with 15 cases, Gusa with 12 cases, Lapasan with 11 cases, Macasandig with six cases, and Bulua, Camamn-an and Cugman with five cases.

Meanwhile, majority or nine percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.

Based on the data from the City Health Office, Cagayan de Oro logged a total of 852 Covid-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic and 90 percent of them, or 770 individuals, have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 while 10 percent, or 82 individuals, have been vaccinated.
