No new Covid-19 cases in Northern Mindanao

THE number of coronavirus-positive persons in Northern Mindanao remained at 21, as no new case has been reported since May 14.

Eight of the 21 cases have already tested negative, while six are outpatients and seven have died, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.

The DOH-Northern Mindanao has also recorded a total of 730 suspected cases in the region as of May 18, wherein 409 are outpatients, 185 were discharged, 75 were admitted and 61 have died.

There were four probable cases, all of them have also died, and four yielded equivocal or inconclusive results, as such re-testing will be conducted.

Meanwhile, 30 persons who were traced as close contacts have tested negative: 11 are from Cagayan de Oro City; one from Iligan City; five from Misamis Occidental (three from Sapangdalaga and two from Ozamiz City); two from Lanao del Norte (one from Linamon and one from Kolambugan); two from Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental; one from Cabanglasan, Bukidnon; five from Camiguin (three from Mambajao and two from Mahinog); and five from other regions.
