Oro dad recovers from Covid-19

CAGAYAN de Oro City Councilor Jay Roa Pascual is now recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) after his repeat swab test result came out negative for Sars-CoV-2 on September 27.

Pascual, on his Facebook post on Sunday, September 27, said his fourth reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) swab test result came out negative.

It can be recalled that the city councilor tested positive for Covid-19 on September 5, days after he experienced mild fever on August 31. He was brought to the city's Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility after the result of his swab test came out.

In his Facebook post on Sunday, Pascual expressed his gratitude to God, his family and his supporters who prayed for his recovery.

The city councilor is expected to be discharged from the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility on Monday, September 28.

"I will be bringing with me my experiences and learnings during my days in isolation with Covid. Stay safe and stay strong Dakbayan sa Cagayan de Oro! Hope to see you all very soon. Kini ang inyong mahiubos na suluguon Councilor Jay Roa Pascual. And I am a Covid Survivor," Pascual said.

The city councilor has also advised the public, especially those who have developed fever, cough and colds, and experienced loss of sense of smell and taste and other Covid-19 symptoms, to contact the City Health Office Health Emergency Management Staff (CHO HEMS).
