Penro generates over P12M in 2018

THE Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro) of Misamis Oriental generated a total income of P12,711,518.82 in 2018, a 319.7 percent increase from the year 2017.

According to engineer Prisco Valmoria of Penro, during a press briefing last Thursday, February 7, at the Provincial Capitol, the large percentage rise of income in 2018 is due to the increase of the extraction fee in the Sand and Gravel.

Just imagine, before April 1, atong Sand and Gravel, kanang gitawag nga extraction fee is only P20. Karon, atong gi-implement is P40 ug naa tay P5 nga ecosystem fee,” Valmoria said.

Dugay na-approve tungod sa grabe nga requirements,” he added.

Valmoria also reported that during the fourth quarter in 2018, Penro generated P4.96 million income.
