PNP reshuffles Oro police officials

CAGAYAN de Oro City police director Senior Superintendent Nelson Aganon has ordered the relief and reassignment of some police officials to further serve the people in city.

Ordered relieved were Police Station 3 (Agora) commander Chief Inspector Gaudencio Taboclaon and Police Station 7 (Bulua) commander Chief Inspector Ericson Sabanal.

Taboclaon was reassigned as chief of the Police Community Relations (PCR) Branch of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo).

He will be replaced by Sabanal.

On the other hand, Senior Inspector Breccia Ruth Townend, the deputy station commander of Police Station 1 (Divisoria) will replaced Sabanal as commander of PS7.

The relief and reassignment was effective Wednesday, September 5.

On the other hand, Cocpo's spokesperson Superintendent Mardy Hortillosa II left his post as chief of the PCR as he will focus on his task as the spokesman of Cocpo.

Hortillosa said the adjustment in position is a normal movement and not because of poor performance.

"Ang relief and reassignment is para sa adjustment sa positioning ug dili tungod kay poor performance," Hortillosa said.

"Ako mag focus na as spokesperson kay nakita nato hatagan sa pagtagad nga mahatag sa publiko ang information, programa ug mga accomplishment sa Cocpo," he added.

Hortillosa said the adjustment is also an opportunity for police officers to showcase their leadership capabilities.

"Ang position sa atong mga officers dili na permanent because of career enhancement. Kung naay mosaka kinahanglan naay ipuli para matagaan higayon nga makaserbisyo," Hortillosa said.

(If someone gets promoted it is important that there is a replacement to allow everyone the opportunity to serve)
