Adamson University set MisOr cage tryouts, May 6

ADAMSON University Baby Falcons have started their build-up for the coming UAAP cage wars as they scheduled tryouts for potential talents here at the basketball dome of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental on May 6.

Timeout Basketball Camp head coach Rex Salvaña said that former San Miguel Beer player Gilbert Castillo, now a part of Adamson U’s coaching staff, will come to check the aspirants who may qualify to play for the Baby Falcons in Manila.

The tryout will be in the afternoon of May 6 starting at 1 p.m. until late afternoon. Players who are born 2001, 2002, 2003 will be eligible for the trials.

The Timeout Basketball Training Camp of coach Salvaña will also kick off on the same day from 8 a.m. to 12 noon for players in 7 to 18 years old category.

Registration is pegged at P2,000 with free basketball and jersey.

Salvaña was the former assistant coach of the Cebu Gems in the now defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association. He was also an assistant coach with the University of Cebu.

Former PBA hotshot Dondon Hontiveros, who’s now playing for San Miguel-Pilipinas Alab in the Asean Basketball League, had also played for Salvaña’s UC team in Cebu during his college days.
