10 Danao barangays receive over P3.1M in livelihood assistance

TEN barangays with accredited livelihood associations under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) in Danao City received a total of P3,140,000 in start-up capital on Friday, July 4, 2025.

According to a post by the Danao City Government’s official Facebook page on Monday, July 7, a total of 157 participants from all 10 barangays were granted financial assistance ranging from P300,000 to P480,000 each.

Among the accredited associations that received support were United Cahumayan, Hugpong Danasan, Hiniusang Dunggoanon, Solid Guinacot, Uswag Guinsayanon, Positibong Loocanon, Taboc Binaliw Makugihon, Aktibong Taytayanon, and Maslog Malaumon.

“In Danao City, we aim to make every family self-sufficient and productive in the community and this initiative is just one of the many steps toward that vision. Kalipay namo [namuno] nga naay mubarog sa matag Pamilyang Danawanon,” said Mayor Nito Durano as quoted by the report.
