AN 18-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in a buy-bust operation Saturday night, May 31, 2025, in Barangay Agus, Cebu City. Confiscated from him was over one kilogram of suspected dried marijuana.
Police identified the suspect as Mark Gill Rivera Gorre, also known as Mark, a resident of Sitio Atabay, Barangay Agus.
Operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Police Station 4, led by Maj. Eraño Regidor, seized two large and three small packages of dried marijuana leaves.
The confiscated drugs weighed 1,671 grams, with an estimated price of P200,520.
According to Regidor, while Gorre’s name was relatively new to the marijuana trade in the area, he was immediately placed in the high-value individual category.
This was due to information that he could allegedly sell one kilogram of marijuana weekly.
Gorre faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. / AYB
