TWO men who were believed to be drunk were taken into custody after causing disturbance and damaging vehicles in separate locations in Cebu City on Monday, December 9, 2024.
A 32-year-old man named Rene Rojo from Kinalumsan River, C. Padilla, Barangay Duljo Fatima, was engaged in the first incident.
At 1:30 a.m. Monday, Rojo allegedly threw stones at passing vehicles along Natalio Bacalso Avenue.
His victims included 39-year-old Avelino Anadiano Sacopaso Jr. of MJ Cuenco Avenue, whose taxicab was struck by rocks.
The second incident happened at 9 a.m. in Barangay Pardo.
The suspect, Herbert Bagtasos Silva, 24, a former employee of a beverage factory from Campo 6, Barangay Manipis, Talisay City, was apprehended after causing damage to cars in Sitio Lucimba, Barangay Población Pardo.
Silva allegedly smashed the side mirrors and door handles of the Toyota Vios vehicle owned by Carvy Bandejas Diolin, a 42-year-old account manager from Sitio Puso, Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City.
Responding barangay tanods apprehended Silva and turned him over to the Inayawan Police Station.
According to the investigation, Silva damaged two more cars in addition to the Vios vehicle, all of which lost their side mirrors.
