Published on:

TWO men illegally selling diesel were arrested in a buy-bust launched by the San Fernando Police Station around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025, along the roadside in Barangay South Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu.

The suspects, who are now detained at the San Fernando Police Station, were identified as alias Aurelio, 37, and alias Loyd, 33, both residents of San Fernando.

Operatives from the San Fernando Police Station seized 36 gallons, each containing 20 liters of diesel, along with a multicab vehicle used to transport the fuel.

According to Police Major Michael Gingoyon, chief of police in San Fernando, they received a phone call at their office reporting individuals selling diesel along the roadside of South Poblacion, prompting them to place the suspects under monitoring.

After confirming the report to be true, they immediately launched a buy-bust, which resulted in the arrest of the two when they failed to present a permit to sell fuel from the Department of Energy.

The suspects will face charges for violating Presidential Decree 1865. (AYB)
