TWO motorcycle riders lost their lives in a fatal collision on S. Osmeña Street, North Reclamation Area, Barangay Tejero, Cebu City around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025.
The victims were identified as 35-year-old Alvin Dilao from Talisay City, who was riding a Kawasaki Fury (plate number GE 13375), and 18-year-old Bugsy Quilestino, also from Talisay (Barangay Dumlog), who was driving a Kawasaki big bike (plate number G638KA).
According to the Cebu City Police Office Traffic Enforcement Unit, CCTV footage showed that Dilao was attempting to make a left turn at 13th Avenue when Quilestino, who was speeding toward the SRP tunnel, crashed into him.
The impact was so strong that both riders were thrown off their motorcycles and sustained severe head and body injuries.
Both victims were immediately assisted and rushed to nearby hospitals were they were later pronounced dead on arrival. (AYB, JDG)
