THREE individuals were arrested and found with firearms during separate search warrant executions on March 8 and 9, 2025.
The Sawang Calero Police Station 6 conducted a raid at the home of a 52-year-old man in Sitio Mahayahay 2, Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, based on a search warrant issued by Judge Anacleto Debalucos of the RTC Branch 17 in Cebu City at 8:57 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
The suspect, Joel Ayala Sargento, was found in possession of a .357 Magnum Smith and Wesson revolver and four bullets inside his residence.
At 11:40 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, a 44-year-old man was also arrested by the Mambaling Police Station after they executed a search warrant and seized a .45 caliber pistol and two live bullets.
The subject of the search warrant was identified as Lyndon Cabrillas, a resident of Sitio Dapdap, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.
Also arrested was Jucel Dacalos, alias "Galoy," 35, who lives in the area. He was found with a .38 caliber revolver and three bullets by members of the Inayawan Police Station in Sitio Ciwac, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City.
The suspects have been charged with violations of Republic Act 10591 and the Comelec gun ban. (AYB)
