IN JUST 24 hours, the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO 7) arrested 49 wanted individuals, including 13 identified as "most wanted," during a coordinated manhunt operation across Central Visayas.
PRO 7 Director Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan said the successful manhunt highlighted the effectiveness of their enhanced intelligence operations, the continuous coordination among police units, and the unwavering support of the community.
Maranan said law enforcement efforts would fall short without public involvement in reporting information.
From June 27 to 28, 2025, all PRO 7 units launched simultaneous operations targeting individuals with outstanding warrants for various criminal offenses. Among those apprehended were 13 suspects facing serious charges and listed as most wanted by authorities.
Maranan emphasized the significance of apprehending these individuals, underscoring their commitment to public safety.
“The arrest of these 49 wanted individuals is a clear message that the rule of law stands firm in Central Visayas. No criminal can outrun justice,” Maranan said.
He expressed gratitude to the public for their continued trust and cooperation with the police, a sign that through shared responsibility and vigilance, Central Visayas will remain safe.
The arrested suspects are now in the custody of various police stations across the region, facing charges in connection with their pending cases. (AYB)
