
FIVE individuals were arrested in separate police operations in Cebu City on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Four of them were involved in illegal drugs, while one was found with an unlicensed firearm. All apprehended individuals are now detained.
First to be arrested by the Labangon Police was alias “Cathy,” 28, at around 8:05 p.m. in Sitio Bognay 3, Barangay Labangon. She was caught by patrolling police officers and found with four small sachets of suspected shabu valued at P2,176.
Twenty minutes later, alias “Sansan,” 45, was apprehended by Parian police during their “Detective Patrolling” in Sitio Samayo, Barangay Lorega. She was found with two small sachets of illegal drugs valued at P544.
The third suspect arrested, considered a “Street Level Individual” drug personality, was alias “Michael,” 36. He was found with several small sachets of suspected shabu valued at P2,720.
This occurred in Sitio Looban, Barangay Tejero, during an operation by the Waterfront Police Station against all types of illegal activities.
The last suspect arrested in connection with illegal drugs was alias “Atan,” 35. He was caught during an “Oplan Bulabog” operation by the Mambaling Police Station in Ybañez Compound, Barangay Mambaling, at around 10:25 p.m.
He was found with seven sachets of suspected shabu, including an illegal drug container as evidence.
Separately, alias “Roger,” 44, an armed man who was reported, was successfully apprehended at around 8 p.m. on in Rockville Subdivision, Barangay Poblacion Pardo. He was found with an unlicensed .38 revolver with two live rounds of ammunition.
The five apprehended individuals have been informed of their offenses and will face appropriate charges before the city prosecutor’s office. / JDG
