

MORE than 500 runners and fitness enthusiasts hit the streets of Toledo City on Sunday, July 27, 2025, to support the environmental cause of “Ta-RUN Na 2.0 Dagan Para sa Kalikasan.”
The fun run, which started and ended at the Arcade in Toledo City, Cebu, was aimed at raising funds for several environmental programs.
Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the tree-growing initiatives in selected communities in Balamban and Toledo City, as well as other environmental programs by Project Revive PH, a youth and environmental NGO based in Toledo City.
Ivan Providencia of Haponon Runners emerged as the winner in the men’s 10-kilometer category, while Fely Bejuna topped the distaff side.
John Dimarino was hailed champion in the men’s 6K and Jean Rose Abella won the women’s division. In the 3K, Zeus Lecera topped the men’s side and Xyrah Alfury Atis won the women’s division.
Project Revive PH Chairperson Caren Basalo thanked the participants for attending and supporting the environmental cause of the group. She also expressed gratitude for the support given by Toledo City’s SK Federation, led by its president, Cris de Jesus.
“This wasn’t just a fun run; it’s a reminder of what we can do when we move together for our earth and for each other,” said Basalo. / RSC
