It’s been over a decade since the Philippines last held the Miss Supranational crown, when Mutya Datul made history in 2013. This year, Tarah Valencia, 24, represents the Philippines’ determined bid for the second crown.

Though some pageant fans have mistaken her for being of mixed descent, Tarah is proudly full Filipina. She proudly traces her roots to Ilocos and Pangasinan, which she carries with honor through her values and cultural pride on the international stage.
She’s a proud Cordilleran and daughter of Baguio
Tarah consistently demonstrates the beauty of Baguio and the Cordillera region. In her official introduction video for Miss Supranational, she presented how her hometown has grown into a cultural melting pot that is home to rituals and traditions from neighboring tribes.
She’s a beauty and brains queen
Tarah graduated cum laude from the University of Baguio with a degree in International Tourism Management, specializing in International Tourism. A former academic scholar, she proves she has both intellect and grace.
She champions responsible tourism and child welfare
Beyond her work in promoting sustainable tourism, Tarah collaborated with Save the Children Philippines in November 2024. She shared, “We work to ensure that children survive, learn and are protected.”
Her Francis Libiran gown made waves online
When Tarah arrived in Poland on June 10, the journey was already well underway. Just days earlier, the Miss Supranational organization had unveiled her official evening gown portrait, dressed in a regal black off-shoulder Francis Libiran gown that Filipinos couldn’t help but rally behind.
She’s been preparing for this for nearly a year
Since her coronation in May 2024, Tarah has undergone months of focused training. She calls the journey a personal transformation — from Miss Baguio to Miss Philippines — marked by discipline and dedication.
Miss Philippines organization calling for support
The Miss Philippines organization has officially urged fans to support Tarah in the Supra Fan Vote, which guarantees a spot in the Top 12 for the winner. To vote, download the Miss Supranational app and select the Philippines. As the post reads: “Help bring the crown home.”
She will compete for the title at the Miss Supranational 2025 coronation night on June 27, 2025 (Poland Time), held in Nowy Sącz, Malopolska.
