A 70-YEAR-OLD farmer was detained at the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) custodial facility after a warrant of arrest was served against him for two counts of Qualified Rape, a non-bailable offense.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Enting,” is a resident of Barangay Busay, a mountainous area in Cebu City.
He was arrested by the tracker team of the City Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU) of the CCPO at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Barangay Bonbon—another upland area in the city. The arrest was based on a warrant issued by Judge Ester Veloso, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 6, Cebu City, dated June 3, 2025.
Alias Enting is listed as the Top 1 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level by the CCPO.
According to police investigation, the complaint was filed by his own daughter, who alleged that she was raped by him on two separate occasions. (AYB)
