REYCAR Auxilio has finally earned the biggest break of his career after booking a fight in Japan.

The 27-year-old Auxilio will face Japanese prospect Ren Ohashi in an eight-rounder on March 31, 2025, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

“Reycar is very focused in his training. This is his chance, and if he wins, it will mark the beginning of the rise of his boxing career,” said Big Yellow Boxing Gym head coach Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora.

Career

Auxilio’s career has had its ups and downs since he turned professional in 2021.

Auxilio won three of his bouts in 2024. He kicked off the year with a second-round knockout of Marjhun Tabamo, followed by a fourth-round technical knockout of Remon Basas. He then lost by a majority decision to Junibert Bantay, but bounced back with a fourth-round stoppage of former ALA Boy Jess Rhey Waminal.

The 23-year-old Ohashi, who turned pro last year, has fought twice, stopping Thai opponents Atthachai Prasoetsri and Weeraphon Ketnarong.

“He must be aggressive. If there’s an opening to knock his opponent out, he should go for it,” said Tepora.

Auxilio holds a record of 7-4-1 with six knockouts, while Ohashi is undefeated at 2-0 with two knockouts.

Also on the card is one-time world title challenger Jake Amparo.

Amparo (16-6-1, 4 KOs) will face undefeated Japanese Takero Kitano (7-0-1, 3 KOs) in an eight-round bout. / EKA
