FIGHTING cop Jusue Bastillada and hard-hitting Arlando Senoc Jr. will co-headline Big Yellow Boxing Promotions’ “Bakbakan Tres” on July 23, 2025, at the Barba Sports Complex in Toledo City.
Bastillada will face former ALA Boy Jess Rhey Waminal for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) featherweight title, while Senoc will slug it out with Eugene Noynay for the Visayas Professional Boxing Association (Visproba) flyweight belt in the double main event.
Bastillada just won the Visproba featherweight strap with a quick first-round stoppage of experienced Jason Tinampay last April 11, 2025, in Toledo City.
The 35-year-old Bastillada is a policeman assigned in Toledo City and is boxing professionally on his free time.
Waminal, on the other hand, was once one of the most promising pugs from the now-defunct ALA Gym. He’s now considered a gatekeeper who tests up-and-coming young prospects if they are ready for the next level.
The 30-year-old Waminal is currently on a four-fight slump and last tasted victory in 2023. He lost to Chainoi Worawut, Mikito Nakano, Rentaro Kimura, and Reycar Auxilio in his last four bouts.
Bastillada is 10-1 with six knockouts, while Waminal is 16-12-1 with nine knockouts.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Senoc Jr. has already shown signs of promise this early in his career. Aside from his power, he showcased his technical ability in his third-round stoppage win over Eldin Guinahon.
Similar to Senoc Jr., Noynay also has a lot of promise. He won four of his last five fights and lost just once to Jimmy Cannu by unanimous decision.
Senoc Jr. is 5-0 with four knockouts, while Noynay is 6-1 with a knockout.
Featured in the undercard are Rhonvex Capuloy (12-3-3, 9 KOs) against Michael Adolfo (6-4, 3 KOs), Jason Canoy (30-13-2, 20 KOs) versus Vicente Casino (6-7-1, 2 KOs), Carlo Bacaro (12-1, 8 KOs) vs. Chinese Lin Wanxuan (3-1, 1 KO), Mark Anthony Sarino (4-1, 2 KOs) vs. Enicito Jagopar (2-5, 2 KOs), Ulymark Moras (3-1, 3 KOs) vs. Jahmark Gales (2-3, 1 KO), John Dominic Ledres (2-1, 1 KO) vs. Nathaniel Donia, Jofel Barcoma (1-0, 1 KO) vs. Mark Asibal (1-0, 1 KO), Aldren Aton (1-3-1) vs. Norman Russiana (1-8-2), and Niño Jay Malbago vs. John Paul Orong. / EKA
