

BATCH 2012-Harley Davidson defeated Batch 2004-For The Win, 91-90, to secure the first finals berth in Division B of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (Shaabaa) on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.
Adven Jess Diputado once again showcased his skills, leading Batch 2012 with 38 points and nine rebounds. Big man Julius Cadavis contributed a double-double (12 points and 10 rebounds) and was named Best Player of the Game.
Trailing 59–71 entering the fourth quarter, Harley Davidson mounted a 15–0 run to grab a 79–78 lead and eventually stretched its advantage to 86–78, with additional support from Marvi Suarez (11 points) and Kyle Dumon (10).
From thereon, the game became a tight contest, forging five deadlocks and five lead-changes.
Kylle Valmoria led For The Win with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Erwin Lopera tallied 19 points and 20 rebounds, while Franco Agusto added 15 points.
Batch 2012 also defeated Batch 2004, 90-87, in Game 1 of the semifinal series.
In Division C, Batch 2015-Imperial House of Furniture also secured a finals spot by defeating Batch 2021-FAD, 79-73.
Batch 2015 controlled the tempo early, outscoring Batch 2021 in the first five minutes of the first quarter.
Felixberto Jabonela scored 23 points for Batch 2015, while Anton Bennet Chua had 15, Lorenzo Miguel added 11 and Chaz Cokaliong made 10.
Josiha Villamayor led Batch 2021 with 17 points, followed by Brandon Largo with 13 and Joel Nathan Requioma with 12.
In other semifinal games, Batch 2005-Insular Square defeated Batch 2010-ZLREJ, 56-41 (Division B) and Batch 2018-XChange Forex prevailed over Batch 2013-Nest Workspaces, 78-68 (Division C). / JBM
